My October Goal!

October 7th is my 4 year surgery anniversary. I have regained 5 pounds from my goal, and they have stuck around since February. Today I biked an hour at dawn (did you know Kansas City is very hilly?), took a one hour weight class at the gym, and then did a one hour hike in my woods. I gave up all alcohol. I'm eating right. I WILL LOSE THESE POUNDS BY OCTOBER 7th. (You wouldn't think 5 pounds would be a big deal, but it is for me.)

Seriously, losing the weight was the easiest thing on earth. The weight just fell off. Maintaining is not easy. But I can do it!

sraebaer -- you're on your way. Everything you're doing sounds great.

You've had some tough challenges of late -- your brutal fall, your neck brace, not being able to exercise for months. But look how you've come back and with all the same motivation you had before.

Looking forward to you KILLING that 5-pound goal. And yes, I do know how/why 5 pounds can be a big deal.

sraebaer, I am also up more than I want to be and it is freaking me out! Like you, I am returning to basics and getting more consistent with my working out. I know that you can do it, I know that we can do it!!! You're right, this maintenance is not easy at all!
