...and a long way off from any reconstructive surgery. 4 mo Post op, 55 lbs lost and of course the leftovers have gone south Is it possible to get rid of the belly hang with exercise? Who has been successful and how? Thanks
It depends. The best thing to do for now is try to firm with strength training, hydrate (inside with fluids, outside with lotion 2x daily), and they say collagen. I just started the collagen a few days ago. I did notice a change with the lotion. I was already doing strength training. I've lost 92 lbs (on my 4'11") frame and my skin isn't too bad. But genetics also play a part. Most of my skin is good except inner thighs and butt.
Exercise will really help, but a lot of weight loss will probably still result in saggy skin. We have had plastic surgeons talk at support group and they all say they will do surgery after a person is at goal for a year. But then they show pictures and I chicken out. WAY more invasive than weight loss surgery, you are sliced hip to hip. Too scary for me.
I am struggling with water intake for sure! And soon to start back at the gym, Summer keeps me busy with yardwork etc. I do use Rodan + Fields(I consult for them) and never thought about the Amp roller that is used to rebuild collagen on the neck and face. Why not!! I'll start that tonight and see if I can get some results. The Hydration Serum would probably work too. I didn't have a good sleeve surgery, ICU and a few more days in the hospital so anything to avoid getting a tummy tuck will be worth a try. I'll be looking forward to hearing what Lotion you use Christie. Inner thighs, under arms..yup got that too
The lotion is OGX "Argan oil of Morocco". It is nice and thick. As for collagen, I am attaching a picture.
