    Default Endoscopy worries

I hope I am placing this in the right forum. I am scheduled for surgery on August 8th. This morning I had my endoscopy and the doctor said she saw inflammation in my stomach typical of gastritis. I have no stomach issues at all, no reflux, or anything. I called my surgeon but have not heard back. I am just sitting here worrying if that means they are going to reschedule this.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Yikes, that's concerning as I also don't have apparent stomach issues. Now I'm wondering what my endoscopy will reveal. I have to do a sleep study and I didn't think I had breathing or sleep apnea problems.

Hopefully it's nothing serious. Keep us posted on what your Dr. Says.

I had that as well. I had to take an antibiotic set of antibiotics. (There was like 3 in one box and if I recall correctly it was for like 5 days??) I did that in early September and had my surgery in November. I had no symptoms either except occasional heartburn. Assuming it was stress related. At very worst they will postpone the surgery slightly. It'll be ok. You'll see. Chin up!

I had mild/moderate gastritis in my endoscopy results. I was instructed to take Prilosec (which I didn't do) and avoid spicy foods. It had no impact on me getting the surgery.

They wont cancel due to gastritis, its super common. I have it too.

I was at the point where I just wanted my entire stomach removed cause I was tired of the pain. The sleeve has helped.
