Have you ever lost 28 pounds in 2 months before? I can't imagine you have. You are doing great. Start thinking about the positives, like great weight loss, no diabetes or Cpap machine, getting into exercising, and feeling great. I don't see what about those things would make anyone frustrated. Try a positive attitude, it really works!!

Oh, and don't compare your weight loss to others. That's nuts. We are all different people, and will all lose at different rates. Men lose really fast. A person with 300 pounds to lose will probably lose faster than a person with 50 pounds to lose. Who cares, as we will all end up in the same place if we stick with our sleeve program. Good luck, and get happy! This is so much fun!

There's really not much to add, others have said it so well. 28 pounds is nothing to sneeze at. You're doing great! Keep it up!

This process is a marathon and not a sprint. You are successful in so many areas, losing weight, off of meds, losing that crazy sleep machine. Sounds like success to me. You are winning this battle. I am one of those former athlete men that lost a lot during the pre-op diet, the first and second month. Now I am settling in to a slower consistent weight loss. I walk every day and work out 3 times per week. I am adding back muscle tissue and that is slowing down the numbers on the scale but I am getting stronger and losing inches.

When I see a slow down on the scale I add fluids. Really concentrate on that. Remember you are getting better and more healthy every day. Keep up the good work!

I love this forum but I think I had skewed expectations from reading some of the amazing success stories. I lost 15lbs in my first month and felt disappointed. Like you, I was being super careful, tracking all my food, exercising daily.... I had to have a head adjustment because I want to be grateful not grumpy and so many things are improving. One day I stepped on my scale when it wasn't balanced and it showed a 5lb loss in one day. I was thrilled until I moved the scale and it showed a .5lb loss. I had to laugh at myself because I was letting that stupid number dictate my happiness. I will probably lose less than you at 8 weeks. I just want to be healthy--physically and mentally.

It's rather remarkable that the member who originally started this thread has not actively posted anything since July 2017. Hopefully she'll reflect on her early days of frustration and see them as water under the bridge.

That is odd. Hope she's doing well!
