Default Vacation Drag and pre-travel depression

I used to feel extremely stressed if we were planning a trip and when that time came I was deeply disillusioned with my weightloss efforts. Long hours and the gym, and serious food deprivation maybe helped me to lose 10lbs, but outfits I had planned didn't quite fit the way I expected.

From the first month post op, my body started transforming in ways it never had before. So these last few days as I was preparing for my (first) overseas trip I was pleasantly surprised that my stress level was pretty low and I wasn't tense but actually at ease which my life-partner pointed out, which I didn't even let it bother me lol!

So my conclusion is that the fact that my packing went smoothly, was due to the fact that for one... my outfits fit perfectly and as expected and most importantly they don't take as much room as my previous sizes. Seriously! I actually packed everything in my carry-on, but due to shoes and other necessities I needed a bigger suitcase.

I'm filled with gratitude and feel deeply blessed that not only have I been able to beat back Diabetes and keep my cholesterol under control, I feel wonderful and comfortable in my new body!

Needless to say... weight related travel stress/depression is in the past.

That's wonderful! My husband and I are going on an Alaskan cruise next June for our 25th wedding anniversary. I am looking forward to having an experience like yours, for the first time ever. Traveling has always been stressful for me too. I'm so happy for you...have a wonderful time!
