    Default Feeling great

After recently stressing myself out over a rapid and not insignificant weight gain, I think I have really become comfortable in my body. The number on the scale each morning still gives me a bit of a jolt, but I really don't dislike the way my body feels. I think I may have stabilized as I've been holding steady for a couple of weeks at 115.

I told my husband this morning that the number tells me I should force myself to drop a few pounds (because I'm neurotic) before we head out to Vegas on the 4th, but I'm feeling good and comfortable for maybe the first time ever. His response was to stay my ass off the scale. Damn, I hate logic!

These pictures were Saturday at my oldest daughter's wedding. I felt so good in that dress despite it being two sizes bigger than what I've been wearing for the last two years. I'm very much enjoying this new feeling.

Interesting....you know in the last 15 years I have NOT weight myself personally. Medically it's had to happen. However, I was overwight by 20 to 30 pound and my body and mirror said scream when heaviest.....so I went into surgery making sure I knew my BMI...I qualified for the low BMI..very low...in Mexico...28 when I walked in eating a lot more so I could be in the safe zone... I was playing by the rules.....so I got fatter. Weighing in at what I think was 182 or something on a 5.7" height...average weight for me was from 159 to 182 in those 15 years I didn't know my weight..guessing.....maybe more. But even so, I avoided the scale 97 percent of the time except on certain strange situations. yes, the scale is my enemy!

After surgery and my relief of not struggling with weight via mirror and slimmer clothes ...I'm good and feel better...

..I read your profile..you see I was also anorexia in high school. I weigh 119 at 5.7''body frame and was skin and bones... bad ..bad.. Then I had to learn to eat but it was always that fight...stupid food played a role until I learned about nutrition...do I did but the scale is one thing I got rid of...skinny or chubby I just got rid of it...

My point, right...big or little...don't let your scale be the Master if it's a negative infulence. For some folks it works, but for me...it's evil!! After surgery, after what I had to do, I by no means lost a ton of weight at a low BMI...I dont' know my weight since..my size, 6 but 4's and 8's work too, depending upon the maker. I may be in the low 150's but it's a guess... I dont' care. I dont' care about the scale but I look in the mirror and it tells me... People say I am lean...that's new news! That works for me I guess...it's a stupid numbers game that scale but I say for many people that works for them but for me it makes me crazy!! So no, no scale...and i turn my head when I go to the Dr's and tell em not to tell me....it works! good luck to you on that part..

I guess my point...if you feel good, you must look good!! Good for you!!

You look beautiful in the pictures and very happy. Your husband is right: "Stay your ass of the damn scale!" Congratulations on the wedding of your daughter, too.

I think you look so much more healthy and beautiful at your new weight. I know you are struggling with that scale reading but I think the extra pounds make you a hottie! Listen to your husband....he loves you and loves what he sees!
