Moving Along!

I had my first appointment with the surgeon and the NUT on Monday!
Next week I meet with the psychiatrist.
My endoscopy is scheduled for Sept 5th. and then we should be setting a date for surgery.
I changed my mind about this 2 years ago because of all of the tests that I needed and 'dumping syndrome' sent me headed for the hills.
Those were just excuses, I realize.
2 years later, I'm still fat, fatter actually.
But that's ok. I'm here now and I'm so excited for this to be a distant memory.
My birthday was Tuesday and I asked my family for a 'Big Man' (I think that's how it was described on Amazon) beach chair.
Weight capacity 300lbs. Hopefully this will be the first and last summer I use it as an almost 300lb person.
The good thing is that next summer, I can still use it, there will just be more room in the chair!

Welcome! Sounds like your attitude about surgery has changed in the last couple years and that you are in a better place to focus on what you need to do. I wish you much luck on your journey.

Thank you! I'm so excited! I also have to get cleared by pulmonologist due tp my asthma. Appt in one week.

Welcome Sam. Happy for your decision. As for dumping syndrome, that is an issue with bypass not sleeve.
