Abnormal ECG

I just learned my ECG test was abnormal. Will this keep me from having surgery? My surgery is scheduled for the 26th.

What did your doctor say? Abnormal can mean so many things... Only your surgeon will be able to recommend the best plan of action for you. Hope this helps a bit! Good luck to you!

Hopefully it is nothing serious. I know one person who actually found something on his EKG and they had to have a medical procedure prior to getting sleeved but were still able to get the sleeve. The need for the EKG actually may have saved his life. Good luck. Hope it all goes well.

I am also in the process of getting ready for my sleeve. I had an abnormal EKG and was referred to a cardiologist. I was given some additional testing. When I met with my cardiologist following the testing he said my results were normal and good luck with your surgery. An abnormal EKG does not always mean you have a problem. They are erring on the side of caution.
