    Default Question about Premier protein

I've been seeing some recipes on F/B using Premier protein shakes. Some of them are in hot foods such as soup and coffee. I know that some protein shakes and powders are not able to go above a certain temp or they get goopy and gross. Does premier do ok in hot foods? I love the idea of using it as a coffee creamer. Thanks for any input. :-)

I don't know specifically Premier but I think it is above 130-140 degrees and the protein clumps. It is a function of the whey protein.

My bariatric coordinator said Premier Protein was one of the only protein shake sources that seemed to have no issues when mixed into hot coffee and such. In fact, my mom and dad use vanilla Premier Protein shakes as the "creamer" in their coffee. Now that I'm on the East coast and have access to the caramel flavor, I might try that too.

Thanks for all these insights. I've never used Premier Protein in this way. But will do so ... perhaps when the weather gets cooler.

I have not tried it (I am pre-sleee). My unjury Chicken Broth Protein says that it cannot be above 140 degrees or it will clump. Not sure if this applies to Premier Shakes or not but might help. At 140 degrees, I thought the broth was kind of lukewarm but I like my soup dry hot.

Ooh, I will have to remember this. I LOVE the chocolate Premier Protein drinks but the vanilla would be delightful as a creamer when it gets COOLER outside. Thanks for the tip.

Yaassss! When I got sick and tired of the premade Vanilla Premier protein shakes they were excellent in my coffee and in my oatmeal! A few months ago I found the Caramel flavor at BigLots outlets and were delicious!!! When I travel I look for Premier brand in the big chain drugstores like CVS or Walgreens, 7/11 sometimes carries them too.

Costco carries all flavors online, and recently saw they have an organic version (25g protein) vs the regular (30g protein). https://m.costco.com/Premier-Protein...100308724.html
