    Default A month Out

    Hi,
I am new to the forum but glad I joined. I'm reading some great stories! I'm post opt a month and Ive lost 35lbs and starting to feel more confident everyday. Im still finding it hard to sip all day, I previously had been so used to gulping my beverage that now I find myself in the moment having to slow down or else I'd be in some pain. I am also progressing to the different stages of food, but I'm getting nervous already about being reintroduced to regular food. I find myself wanting to stay on the soft diet to make sure I lose the most weight . Is there is anyone else feeling the same way? I am trying to get exercise in 4-5 times a week to maximize the time provided before my weight plateaus.

I think a month out is staying in the soft phase for quiet a while. I think it's important to move into the solid phase so you can get most of your vitamins and protein from real foods instead of shakes and pills. i also have issues with drinking too fast. Pre surgery I always drank 1-2 2 liter bottles of diet soda per day so I was always guzzling down . I'm only 8 days post op but often find myself taking in too much air while drinking or taking too big of a gulp and it feels like someone is twisting my my heart strings . 3-5 seconds of pain

Perspective ....when my weight loss stalled or slowed I always upped my calories to get it moving. Also, I can eat less solids than soft foods. Soft foods go down easy. Solids not so much. So realistically you'll lose more moving to solids as long as it's protein and veggies versus carbs.
