    Default 216 & 206 days PO -54 & -77 Lbs

Yo Sleeve Receivers, A fine morning in Jakarta, Indonesia. What I would give for a protein bar, or shake. Can you fried rice 3 times a day...... Our post Op weight loss has not been breaking any records, but it has been dropping. We both experienced stalls after the first 3 months, and have a ways to go till reaching our goals. I think that the slower loss has given the skin time to recover. Several NSV's along the way. Clothes that were brought before surgery that can never be worn, (we had no waiting time). It has not been that easy, especially as couple, turns out to become a competition. The point of the WLS was to kick in the new lifestyle. It works!

    Great Day to all.

    J

I've been a slow loser, mainly because of my metabolism (and medications I had to take several times), but also because I can't find the food I need. But at the end it will all add up...I know that each time I'm back home or in a "western country" weight goes down quicker. I will be 18 months out next week, my surgeon said that I could lose a little more....I hope he is right!

I do order lots of things from Iherb, shipping is not that expensive and if your customs are not too complicated to deal with you can get your protein powder/bars etc...

Hey you two! Great to hear from you.

Like Sandra, I have been a painfully slow loser, but as she says it all adds up. I am happy were I am now and I feel great, but I will continue to work on losing another 20-25lbs. However long it takes... right!?!

My partner isn't Sleeved, and isn't overweight, but he gets super competitive too lol! We are taking a trip at end of month to Europe and he has been working out everyday, even on a few business trips we took he went to the gym. I took to walking pavement and exploring while he was in meetings all day.

I think the slower weight loss is better for the skin. I also saw where Dr. A was saying to use lotion and lots of fluid. He said hydrating inside and out is crucial with helping with saggy skin. I had to laugh at the competition thing because my hubby and I compete with working out and getting more steps in. (He did not have a sleeve, though, but I do know if he had needed one our weight loss would be a competition. LOL.)
