Post 2 months out. Only getting 350 to 500 calories a day.

I am 2 months out but I still keep throwing up
I measure my food. Set my alarm to wait over an hour to honot drink water. I can't eat enough. I am unable to do the protein shakes. Just the smell makes me sick. I have called the Dr office, waiting for a call back. I would like an upper gi done. I had stomach cancer. (Gist tumor) removed in 2014. I just don't know what more to do. I am so weak and feel sick all the time. Thank you.

Small amounts of protein. You'll need to eat more frequently. Are you taking vitamins? You've got to get your fluids and protein in. Try Fairlife milk. It's high protein and lactose free. At 2 months I could barely eat. I had to have a bite here and a bite there. But I kept chugging along. It gets better and easier in time. Just fight to get as much fluid and protein in as possible. Good luck.

I'd be concerned about throwing up. How much are you eating in one sitting? I think at that time I as eating half a scrabled egg for one meal. I still have days around 500 calories at 6 months out.

I couldn't get many calories into me the first 3 months (I just started a few weeks ago) and I am talking 320 calories a day. It was HARD. I couldn't eat a whole egg, every egg dish was 1/2 and I'd be sick with feeling TOO full. I drank my premier protein drinks just to GET those grams of protein in. Most foods to this day do not taste "right" to me as pre-surgery food tasted... I don't know why so I have some issues with food. But my appetite is coming back (unfortunately) and I am a bit more hungry now at almost 4 months out. The only times I do hurl up food is if I have had one too many bites (and it's no more than a half a cup I eat now at at time) or if I eat my food TOO fast. Very unpleasant and disgusting.
