I would like to know if there are any really good books about the gastric sleeve surgery and eating afterwards?? I saw a slight review of one that was not really recommended. Looking for more information.

I can't really offer too many recommendations. But, I did get a few gastric sleeve/bariatric surgery books from my local library. Also, Amazon and Ebay have some that look promising. You may also want to search this site, as someone wrote up a very good review about some gastric sleeve books worth reading.
Hope this helps a bit
I didnt read any books, ust internet, and watched lots of videos. The best are from Dr Matthew Weiner and Dr Alvarez

I think reading what others have been through and are going through are the best. I have read that most sleevers only lose about 60% of excess weight after 2 years....but just reading on here I see that most people do lose more than that and do reach goal. And I have hit that club as well. So I honestly think that the best information out there about the sleeve is that which comes from real people who have been there.
But you wonder if the people who are not successful just don't post. Many familiar names who were frequent posters have "disappeared" from this site. Like there was this high-school teenage girl on here forever, and after she had surgery, nothing. I hope she's doing well!
Weight Loss Surgery: The Real Skinny by Nick Nicholson, M.D. (excellent! very quick read, covers a wide range of topics)
Eating Well after Weight Loss Surgery by Patt Levine & Michelle Bontempo-Saray (cookbook with over 140 recipes divided by type of meal. gives serving guidelines base on type of surgery and length of time since surgery)
Recipes for Life After Weight-Loss Surgery by Margaret M. Furtado M.S, R.D., L.D.N. (cookbook that classifies recipes according to texture-pureed, regular, soft- but arranged by meal type. good info on nutrition needs)
Weight Loss Surgery Cookbook for Dummies by Brian K. Davidson, David Fouts, & Karen Meyers, MS, RD/LD ( so much more than recipes! Lots of info on food stages and following your surgeon's guidelines.)
Fresh Start Bariatric Cookbook : Healthy Recipes to Enjoy Favorite Foods After Weight-loss Surgery by Sarah Kent (this was my go-to for ideas for each stage. gave me some new smoothie ideas when I was so sick of smoothies)
Before & After: Living and Eating Well after Weight Loss Surgery by Susan Leach (while written by someone who has actually had the surgery & contains some good recipes and advice, I got really tired of reading about her lavish lifestyle and vacations.)
Definitely check your local library. Use the key words "weight loss surgery" and "bariatric surgery" to search. You can check them out for a while and decide which ones you want to buy and which ones you just need to make a few notes from.
I also read everything I can online. The experiences of the people in this group and a facebook support group I follow have been so valuable.
