all of a sudden, everyone is noticing my weight loss. :)

I'm almost 3 months post op. I started in a tight size 18 jeans (sometimes 20) and I'm not in a loose 16 and sometimes a 14 (a little tight). I can wear fitted clothes now, so my whole style has changed.
Last week, I saw a former coworker and she interrupted herself to say "wait, did you lose weight??!" and I said I had. She kept saying "wow, you look great!"
We work in the same building and I've seen her from a distance a bunch of times, but I think now it's really starting to show.
Then yesterday, a current coworker came back to work after being off for 3 weeks. She started to say hello and stopped and said, "OH MY GOD MISS SKINNY!" and then said that I look drastically thinner from when she left. I told her I'm only 8lbs lighter than I was 3 weeks ago (Not that 8 lbs isn't a lot) and she said no way... I look MUCH different.
The two interactions really boosted my ego. I'm excited for the next month, since I think I'll be under 200 in around 6 weeks, hopefully (I'm 212 right now).

Congratulations! It is a wonderful feeling isn't it. I am just four months out now, but I know at my three month mark people suddenly really started commenting and it really boosted my self-confidence. I just wasn't seeing it when I looked in the mirror and after all the compliments I took a hard look in the mirror and was stunned. I would never have worn leggings before(lack of confidence) but I broke down and bought some because I thought I would be able to get more wear out of them as I lost weight and wouldn't outgrow them so fast. I had them on that day and looked in the mirror and thought omg my legs are half the size they used to be. It was a wonderful feeling!

That's awesome - I know I'm 5 years out and still look behind me when someone makes a comment about "skinny" - I was at the pain control doc yesterday and while he was looking over my records I got up and was looking at the BMI chart on the wall. He looked up and said "yeah you're in the way lower side of that chart. I just laughed and said yeah if you only knew

Congratulations! I came back to work after 2 weeks because I wanted to lose gradually and not shock my co workers. I have not shared with them that I had surgery. People started to notice right away and since October 2016 I have gone from size/18/20 to size 12. I am down 92 pounds and my whole style and attitude have changed.

I was little uncomfortable
with all the attention I was getting but I am used to it now.

The funny thing is when I tell people that I've lost 55 pounds, they are shocked because they just started noticing 3 months into the mission. The first 20-25 pounds seem to go by unnoticed by anyone but your closest people. It's a lot of fun and most people are very considerate about what they say.

It was the same way for me. It took almost 40 pounds before people started to notice. (I haven't told many people about surgery either.) Of course there are a few that want to know what my new "diet" is, but most have been very nice and considerate.

YES! thank you - I did the same thing - I really looked at myself and realized I'm much smaller. Plus, I've had to try on ALL of my clothes and there were a few that confused me because I thought, "well I wore this when I was MUCH thinner, why does it fit now?" and then I realized... I am that "much thinner" weight now!
I'm super excited to keep going!

OH, you'll be there soon! I remember being a few days out from surgery and seeing other people's successes and I didn't feel... connected to it yet. I felt like I had SO FAR to go and after a month and 20lbs, I felt better, but I didn't feel like I looked all THAT different. But really... 3 months goes by fast and you'll be a lot different in 3 months.

I really hated people commenting on my weight loss. I did not tell anyone about my surgery and I am happy that. I think it would have been worse if I did.
