Unhappy Seeking some calming relief... Major Plateau... stuck at 178!

Hey, I'm new to this forum. Super excited to be apart of this actually.
I am a recovering alcoholic and that's thanks to this beautiful surgery, well big part of the reason.
I already had a drinking problem just not to the extent that it got once I had the surgery. well the reason
I bring this issue up is because after I gave up the drinking I hit a crazy Plateau, and added way more calories to my normal intake.
I know this cause I count my calories now, and my sugar cravings are out of control. I have somewhat control over it now,
but still I am struggling with losing the last 40 pounds, I have lost a total of 90 pounds. I get so many comments on how great I look but Im still not happy. Im not sure I will ever be happy, and that saddens me. I don't know I guess I just want some advice from ANYONE.
My current food intake is about 1400 calories and I work out everyday at the gym for an hour, cardio and Strength training. Im taking this hard. I compare myself with my sister who also had the surgery and is 115 pounds! she was much smaller then me when she got the surgery so I know that plays a huge part. Sorry to ramble on. Thanks for reading... Ohh and I can proudly say I have been sober for 4 months now.

Wow! You're one strong woman. Congrats on taking the necessary steps to improve your life. That is truly inspirational. Sometimes I find it helpful to talk to people who can relate and support me. Maybe a bariatric support group. You probably go to meeting to support your sobriety. A bariatric group would give you that same kind of support in you weight loss journey. Even weight watchers is a great support system for losing weight. You really are doing great!!! Keep it up and best of luck.

When did you have your surgery and what are you eating? If what you're doing isn't working (stall) then change what your doing. Make sure you have at least 80 grams of protein and 64 oz of water. If your exercising a lot, increase your water. Increase/decrease carbs, fat, etc.
