Hi, I am new here and hoping to learn all I can about sleeve surgery. I am just beginning the process to get things moving toward getting my first appointment scheduled. I am very nervous and excited at the same time, but glad I found this forum to hopefully help with all of this.

You will find that everyone here is very helpful and informative. So much info to gather from each of us who has gone through the surgery. I found this site when I was just beginning my 'journey' back in December (insurance required 3 months of weight managed classes under a surgeon and nutritionist.) . It was a godsend to me. I think everyone has the same feelings of excitment, fear and anxiety while considering this. The MORE information you know beforehand... the BETTER off you will feel mentally. I had my surgery in March and am SO happy it's over with. Since December, I have lost 88 pounds and am adapting to my new life VERY WELL.

Welcome. This is the place to be! Read up as much as you can so you'll know what to expect. Pretty much everything you go through someone on here has been there and can offer advice. This is a great surgery as long as we use our tool properly.
