    Good Morning!
Everyone stalls. Everyone. It is your body's way of saying "hey are you starving me? I'm going to hold on to some weight." Your weight loss will pick back up. Trust me. Its happened to all of us.

I'm 13-months out and have followed a pretty balanced high nutrient diet this whole time with moderate exercise and weight resistance training. You can see my weightloss has been slow and steady below.

Since I am out of risk now, these last few weeks I have been reading and studying the Keto lifestyle and it goes against all that I have learned about a balanced and high nutrient diet. That being said, I found that there is a lot of evidence that if followed properly it may be sustainable, but only if you truly understand the concept and science behind it. If you don't you might do more harm than good. I found a modified version that it is a combo of Paleo and Keto with an emphasis on following an anti-inflammatory diet. I am actually on day two, so I will be posting about next week on how I did my first week.

As Kenson said stalls are just your body adjusting, and trying to figure things out. You are still healing so I am concerned for your safety more than anything, but talk to your medical team, see what they have to say. From what I read Keto might actually help you build muscle if done right, so if okay with your NUT and surgeon and you know what you are doing go for it. Others may disagree.

I wouldn't do any "diet" this early in the game. Keep doing what you're supposed to be doing. The stall may last a few day or a few weeks, but be patient with your body. It's been through a lot recently, don't stress it any more.

3 week stall is normal. there is no way you'd be able to do keto after beingg sleeved so soon.
My family is keto. I don't each much carbs. I still focus on my proteins and don't often have room for anything else.

The best thing to do for a stall is to RELAX!! As long as you are getting in your protein and fluids the weight will start moving again. Stressing about is not going to help you at all but can actually make it worse. Stress does all kinds of funky things to our body....so just breathe and enjoy the ride.

By keto diet, do you mean going back on the optifast shakes? I had surgery almost 5 years ago. I went from 120kg to 84kg and my weight loss stopped. I'm now about 90kg, so have put on weight. I am a lot healthier than I was years ago. I'm wondering whether I should go back on the shakes to kick start the weight loss again. I eat well during the day but snack at night. I have to stop it. I don't think I would ever get to the original weight again but my ideal weight is 60kg. I would be happy with 70 to 80kg.
