    Default New sleeve sister!

I am 33 days post op, looking forward to getting healthy and living an adventurous long life. I've struggled with my thyroid most of my adult life which made keeping the weight off a constant battle not to mention mental struggle with hormone fluctuations. I was diagnosed as pre diabetic before my surgery and that was the cherry on the top to move forward with the sleeve procedure I had researched. My dad became diabetic 5 years ago and his life has changed drastically being insulin dependant, that is not what I wanted for my future. I've lost a total of 31lbs from the start of the colon cleanse til now. Loving the results so far just lacking strength and full energy. I hope now that I've started these terrible vitamins suggested that my energy will improve and by slowly introducing more vigorous exercise my strength will improve also. Happy to take any suggestions anybody has on things that work well for them. I'm sure my struggles are the same as yours are/or were with keeping hydrated and getting in recommended amount of foods. I had my procedure with Dr. Pasten in Tijuana and though they are great with responding to my questions, I'm looking forward to conversing with others who have walked in my shoes. Best luck to you all for health and weight loss success.

Welcome! You have come to the right place. Anything you are wondering just use the search tool and you may find a post about it. If not, create a post with what you are needing information on. I have plenty of blogs on my page about my journey if you are interested. It will get a bit easier each day to get the fluids and protein requirements in but you'll get there. Good luck!

    ✨Welcome!✨

You've definitely have come to the right place, as Christie mentioned I also found reading older threads extremely helpful when I first joined the forum.

Congratulations on your decision to join the conversation, and going through the Sleeve Gastrectomy know your life is about to change for the better as reported in 99% of most cases.

For me, the risks of surgery were much lower than if I had stayed on the same path. As you post questions or blog about your journey you will find a fountain of support and sage advice from veteran and newly sleeved.

If you haven't already, watch Dr. Matthew Weiner YouTube channel for what to expect after surgery.

I'm over 13-months post op and this surgery has been the best decision I have ever made, it is by no means an easy way out, it is also NOT a ✨*Magic Wand*✨ that will make weight magically disappear. It takes mindful every day work to stay present and use our permanent tool to be better and healthier versions of our current selves.

Sending you the best of wishes!

When you are on the home/main page just click on"Forums" and you will see listed the different subjects, but you can post almost anything on "Tell Us About Your Journey" if its a non surgery subject there is the "Tiki Hut".

You can also join Groups and post questions directly to group members, you can also start your own group or start a Blog. I normally use those to pour my thoughts out. I find it cathartic.

We are Sleeved people in a non-sleeved world and often times we do not anyone else going through what we are experiencing and will be living with for the test of our lives.
