    Question 3rd week weight stalled

I am 20 days out of sleeve surgery. I am taking my protein and vitamins regularly. having one egg scramble in my breakfast and then for lunch i take 65g Isopure protein shake and for dinner usually i take watery lentil soup (homemade). but I am surprised that after 2nd week of my surgery I could not lose a single pound of my weight. initial two weeks of my surgery i lost 8 kgs but after that scale refused to move. i don't know what i have to do. I am following very religiously my surgeon guidlines but all in vein. Please Please help me and guide me that what should I do more?

    Hi Sara

Stalls and plateaus are normal and expected. Before the sleeve losing 8 kgs could take you two months right?
Don't worry! many people have a stall at 3 weeks out. It's fine. Continue to follow your guideline, you are doing great!

If it's too stressful just check your weight once a week. That's fine! Stress is not good....try to keep busy, do little walks and you will do great! take care!

Drink a ton of water! I've stalled a few times and when I get more water I start losing again.

Stalls are very normal. Sounds like you are experiencing one. They will come and go in your weight loss journey. The best thing you can do is relax and just keep following the rules. Your body has to catch up to the extreme weight loss. Very few people don't experience any stalls. But how many you experience is unknown. Some people experience them frequently and others only once in a while. I would suggest that you take progress pictures and measurements (bust, hips, thighs, waist, bicep, calves-some people additional ones as well) every 2 weeks. Often when the scale is not budging your body is still changing. And down the road you will appreciate seeing how far you have come!

My dear ... you're right on schedule.

This particular stall is so common it even has a name: "The Three Week Stall." Seriously. You can google it. Or search this site for that term. It's notorious.

Things will change. Keep doing what you're doing. You're doing fine. Relax.

I feel ya! I had my first stall at 2 weeks as well. It lasted almost 2 weeks! I'm 3 day over my first month and the scale finally moved and it will for you too. Just keep doing what you are suppose to do.
