Question One week, 1 day post op.

Sorry, i haven't been around lately, have totally spaced with everything going on.

Thank you to everyone for their Condolences! <3

The last couple days, I've been having alot of trouble keeping at this liquid diet, I'm nearing the end of the full liquid diet. Next Monday, I start Pureed & Soft food stage. I've started having a lot of trouble getting my Premier protein shakes down. Dr. put me on two daily, to get 60 grams of Protein in. It takes me about 3 hrs to finish one shake. I'm suppose to be drinking lots of water too. I'm just having trouble keeping up with it all. Has anyone had this difficulties? feeling a bit frustrated because there is very little I can have at this point.

I'm not hungry much, I'm scared to put too much in my stomach because I don't want it to come back up. I eat 2/3 oz. of thinned creamed soup, when i eat.

It took me a while to get all my liquids in. You'll get there. Just keep sip, sip, sipping!! It does get easier! Keep it up!

Good to hear ffom you Kristy!

Hey so if there is a Sprouts near you, they carry an amazing tasting (to me) high protein cottage cheese called Good Culture. My first time eating soft and puréed food I did one tablespoon at a time. Waited a minute or two, and I was full by 2nd tablespoon the first couple of days. By week's end I was able to eat 4 tablespoons or 1/4 cup and that lasted several months.

First several weeks to a month out I was literally on an eating schedule to get my minimum protein and water requirements. I would have not have been able to do it without eating every 15 minutess and sipping all day long.

No, no.. Sprouts here, i'm in a small desert town about 2 and half hrs from Los Angeles. We have a Walmart and a Staterbros. but i'll check them both for the high protein cottage cheese. ground meat was on my soft foods list, so I made up some ground chicken, put it in a half of flour tortilla which is only 3 net carbs. I can only eat 4 small bites and i'm full. so not quite a oz. I'm doing much better with taking in liquids than food. I do my protein shake, then 4 oz of light juice and rest is in water.

    Hi Kristy!!

Definitely focus on sipping. I wasn't hungry and I stopped fluids and ended up in the hospital for dehydration in the first 2 weeks.
    It will work.
