Question My 3 year long journey

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I've recently has a gastric sleeve and finding it difficult with sleeping. Not sure if it's because it's only just two weeks since I had the sleeve fitted, so it is still early days. I don't know who else to speak to as this is a whole different pathway to life as it is now. I m hoping it goes but if anyone ha any ideas I would sincerely be grateful. I prop myself up with pillows because I can't lay flat. But equally I can't get comfortable. Does anyone have any suggestions please. Can I also ask as to how long it took you until you felt like going back to work?? I'm bored out of my mind. I've starting incorporating walking more into my daily activity. This is helping somewhat. Looking forward go hearing from someone/lots of people.

    Welcome.

Just start reading. You'll get a sense of how this experience goes. You may want to read my first and second "surgiversary" posts linked to in my signature block below.

It's weird at first, but soon becomes MUCH easier. Not long from now you'll find it just seems like a new normal.

    Best wishes.

Every day gets a little bit easier. Just keep walking as frequently as you can. As for sleeping, I used a heating pad for my back. I also had a body pillow and found I had to switch positions frequently in the beginning. I have several blogs on my page from the beginning to now. It is going to get better. Just hang in there!

I had trouble sleeping. I am a side sleeper and cannot physically sleep on my back. Just get through the healing and gets tons better. I now sleep through the night again without waking up to pee every other hour.

Early on I slept in my recliner. Like everyone says, this phase doesn't last long.
