The second best decision I've made in my life! Marrying my wife was numero uno. Very little nausea, and not a terrible amount of pain. I was able to get up and walking immediately, and was able to wake up immediately. So far today, I have been able to get down some water, beef broth, and popsicles without a problem. Starting on protein shakes tomorrow.
Dr. Hart's staff at Emory Johns Creek is phenomenal. Very caring and thorough. I can't wait to parade my sexy self into the office, which should be easy since my daughter goes to an allergist upstairs and my wife's OB-GYN is too.

Haha... thanks... I have a great support system as well, so that definitely helps my attitude.

Tomorrow is my follow up appointment. Hopefully I will be cleared to move to soft foods. I am fantasizing about cottage cheese and tuna. I'm guessing that might be the first time that sentence has ever been uttered.

LOL! Yes, I used to hate tuna, now love it. Try the flavored pouches, very good. As for cottage cheese, always been a fan. A go to snack or meal any day!

I chickened out on the tuna and just went with plain cottage cheese with a scoop of Nectar unflavored protein powder. The tuna we had (canned) seemed really dense and I was afraid of having issues.
Down nine pounds from my surgery date, and twenty overall.
