I am 11 weeks out and still can't get in more than 1/4 cup of food per meal. I'm not complaining, as I have lost 84 pounds to date, but I do GET FULL after just a handful of small bites. With no warning... just BOOM, I need to walk away from the table.
My surgeon and nutritionist (who I am not thrilled with) are against CARBS of any sort, against sugar and insist if a sugar substitute has to be used, it is Stevia (I drink water), are against online support groups, and expect you to work out everyday with no excuses (I do exercise daily so I am safe there
), and SO many other things that I find cRaZy! The surgeon's sister who is the office manager told us in a group meeting that she
can't understand people who go on vacations (cruises, etc...) and want "to eat." This is how her lecture went: "Why go on vacation to eat? You're there to get away, and all people want to do is eat? Why?" If I had to guess that answer lady, it'd be because THEY ARE ON VACATION and want to enjoy being served, instead of cooking. She could have said eat wisely- but didn't- and was adamant that you DON'T eat what is served.
Anyway, I keep being told it goes get better with the amount you can eat. I'm hoping that's true.
