Default 2 years out and thoughts...

2 years out - i now waver between 195 and 205 depending on how i am living.

the good: ive found the sweet spot where i can maintain. some say i look better when im around 205, but i want to be at 190 just to be in the normal weight range for my height. i love my new lifestyle and enjoy things like cutting my toenails without having to hold my breath. i can hit 4 miles or so at a good pace in 95 degree heat.

the bad: its true - you CAN eat much more stuff the further out you go. you find you can drink more too.. and though thats a bit of a relief for those who are stuck eating a quarter cup of jello, its a stubborn reminder that you need to watch what youre eating and this truly is a tool. i find myself eating too much and paying the price every now and then.

i hate the extra skin in my gut (i think only surgery will get rid of that) - but how all of yall see me - i look great.

one bad for me - i used to love red meat. now, i cant do it so well. but i love seafood so much more than i ever did. my latest kick is ahi tuna steak.

i am doing well and only gain a few when im not able to exercise like i should, but i also stay on track and everything stays in check. stay with it - the new lifestyle is so worth it.

Ahi tuna is my new favorite food! It's basically what I almost always order in a restaurant. And seeing each place does it different, one on a delicious slaw, another with avocado and edamame, it's always yummy. I have found any fish is much easier on my tummy than meat. (The Tuna Poke at Bonefish, so good and the perfect size.)

thanks all ---i think you need to find what works for you - but also realize its not a fix all. you cannot eat whatever you want and expect to always lose weight. i found what works for me and am quite happy with it.but i found i can do more than just bland diet crap and still work.

    ok tonights dinner...

arugula (to look pretty..) sauté some shrimp (ok - like 4 shrimp) in some thai sweet chili sauce and a touch of chipotle mayo

Congrats Jeff. I'm sure you look awesome! I can relate to being able to eat more, years after surgery. I get hungry now as well. I recently lost my job, so I'm eating out of boredom and probably lack of confidence. I'll get back on track. Overall, I am about half way towards my goal.
