Hello! I signed up about 3 days ago, but never introduced myself. I'm Fanta! I'm going in for my sleeve in 3 days! I honestly came to this site because I was seeing so much negative about my surgeon online and I was scared! Then when coming here I realize that the media only focus on negative and there were so many more good stories about my surgeon here. So that you guys for that! I've been large my whole life and sick of it! Frankly, I want a piggy back ride! I'm tired of always having to be the one who gives them!

Congratulations for making the choice to have the sleeve done. I also heard and read stories about Dr Almanza prior to surgery. Don't believe them, I had surgery with him on May 9th with no complications at all. There was also 7 other patients the same day as me and there were no complications with them either. So far I have lost a total of 72 lbs, 29 since surgery and couldn't be happier! Good luck with your surgery. If you have any questions feel free to message me anytime.

Good luck with everything! It's always good t do your own research and not believe stories. Good to have so many patients on here that can let you know their outcomes. I've only heard very few complaints but most people have only positive things to say!

Welcome--you are probably so over prepared and researched all of this like we all have, but until you jump in the pool you don't know how your your journey will go! Not everything everyone posts will be your experience. And you may find things that work for you that didn't for others. I'm 3 weeks out and it's going great. Just keep your eye on the prize--what your reason for VSG is. Healing and resting up is important so don't overdo it.

You take your stride in your time. Definitely use the forums--getting answers from multiple people and a variety of results vs just old web content. We're here for you! Good luck!

I know how you feel but I didn't hear nothing bad about my doctor but it was just scary that I didn't see anything about him but he's a wonderful doctor so far that I read good luck keep in touch with us

Yes ma'am...29 since surgery but I did my own pre-pre-op diet I guess you could call it to prepare myself for surgery.
