Has anyone used these as your daily source of vitamins and have had lab tests to back up the results? I just found out about these and it sounds much easier but too good to be true. Anyone with experience with these? Thanks.
the practice I have been using emphatically discourages use of patches because the absorption is underwhelming.
I purchased some based upon the PA saying they were fine at the info session I went to and she had a patient who used them and labs came back fine. Based upon that I purchased some. I mentioned it yesterday at post-op class and nurse indicted they were fine after you reached goal. So I am not sure who which is correct because at the same time she was going over the list of vitamins available from the practice. Hate to say this but it seems that in many ways the sleeve surgery has turned on to lucrative business. So I will supplement the patched with the chewables until all used.
The truth of the matter, in my opinion, is that there is no tried and true set in stone for this surgery. Information varies so much from one surgeon to the next and one nutritionist to the next. I would think that the patches are ok since it is no different then people using the patches to quit smoking, pain relievers, and birth control. Just my two cents. I do not, however, have any type of medical degree so this is all coming from my own personal beliefs.![]()
No, but I'm super curious!
Do the patches really work?
i'd like to try it too
This I haven't heard of.
