I was 207. Got to 187 on day of surgery after pre op. I'm now 122 and I'm 4'11". My doctor was all for it. I'm shorter than you so I qualified for insurance. You may not qualify for insurance if you have no comorbidities. But you can self pay. Good luck.

I am similar to you; 5'4" fluctuate between 186-1999 with a BMI of 33.5 with high blood pressure . I have done the diets but can't seem to go past 176; so I am having surgery on the 27th of June and I can not wait to start my life over. I am going to Mexico and I am self pay but its an investment into my new self. I am doing something now so I do not have more health issues later on in life.

This is a great group to gain information and no question is stupid. I have learned so much from the ladies on here. Good luck!!!

Today she's down to 147 pounds, wearing a size 8 for the first time in her adult life, and is thrilled with her sleeve.
    That is SO awesome!!

I'm 5'4" and 108 - size 0 - 3 depending on the cut of the jeans (I don't wear anything other than jeans since I work for myself in my own business) I started gaining due to meds that a doctor put me on and freaked when the 3's became too tight. Tossed the meds and got right back to a 0 - 3 where I want to stay.
