Have you gotten so used to putting a 1 as your first number? That is awesome. I still am getting used to putting a 2 instead of a 3 first. Maybe someday I will get used to putting a 1 first too.
Congrats!
Lol! What an awful angle for legs.
here are my legs from a better angle...

So, a year ago, I felt like crap coming out of surgery and continued feeling like crap for a couple of months. I remember actually being pissed off that I could only eat half a scrambled egg! Ha! If only that were true now.
I'd say that now, I eat what most folks would consider a "normal" amount. I can also overeat and do on occasion. My desire to eat still rules my brain at times, and I kind of "black out" and go nuts, then feel bad both physically and mentally.
I know, I know...I need THERAPY . I know I need therapy. I know it, ok?
Most of the time, I don't feel any different, but sometimes I feel "thin". Like when I cross my legs or feel my rib cage when I'm on my back. But overall, I still feel like a fat person.
My knees and back still hurt, prob cause the damage had already been done. (This is a good reason to not put off losing weight)
i weigh and and track everything I eat. This will really help me when I start maintenance, to know how many calories I need a day.
Ive started adding in carbs like fruit and veggies, but still avoid bread/rice/pasta/potatoes like the plague. I strive to stay under 50 gms of carbs a day, but don't always achieve that (fruit has tons of carbs, and it's fruit season!) I found some treats that I like, and go overboard on at times....Enlightened ice cream bars and no sugar added chocolate. I had to stop buying the chocolate though, cause I was getting out of control with it, and had a tough time kicking the habit. Lesson learned.
my eyes are bigger ban my belly, and I still cannot get a grip on just how much food is the right amount. Example: yesterday we had a BBQ lunch at work. I went through the line and took way too much. All meat, granted, but still.
I finally made it into the "normal" BMI range, but just barely. I would need to lose another 20# to be in the middle of normal. So, that's a "sort of" goal, cause I really cannot imagine that ever happening, but, I never thought I'd weigh less than 180, but here I am, less than 170! So, maybe...
I don't really know my clothing size cause I work in scrubs and still just wear my old giant 2x t shirts around the house. But I went from a 2x in scrubs to a large and might be able to go to mediums now.
as for being more active, not happening. Yet. I still have a year left on my gym membership, that I started the month before surgery, so there's still hope on that front.
vitamins: when I remember, so practically no vitamins. Labs have been normal.
Guess that's about it.

Pam, congratulations! This first surgiversary is a really big deal (I think). Actually, every surgiversary is a big deal because it's such a wonderful time to look back and reflect on the tough life we had "before."
It's been nice to get to know you here.
Take your vitamins. Seriously. Take 'em.
