I am just recently 5/5/17 on the loser bench. I was checking out forums and came across this one. Just reading through before I signed up I knew this one was for me. Can't wait to to dig in and read about everyones success. I am in that awkward stage with purees and soft foods. So definitely will be checking some posts about that. I am sure I will have many more questions along my journey.

Congrats on making the first step. My advise, don't rush it and lean on your protein replacements until you can get enough in.

How are you feeling? Things get a bit trickier on real food. You get full way faster and will most likely need to supplement with your shakes. Congrats on your surgery and welcome!

Thank you ghost Ryder and Christie. That is pretty much what I did went back to protein replacement. I do have good and bad days with protein intake. Lately I don't find food pleasurable anymore some food smells make me sick to my stomach. Also if I have just one to many bites or too big of sips I get extreme pain. I think that is a huge reason on why I am afraid to eat.

Welcome to the site and congrats on your surgery. You will find a wealth of support, knowledge and experience here from so many others who have shared their experiences. I'm almost a month out pre-op and this site has been my lifeline as I plan and prepare mentally for my sleeve surgery. Best of luck to you!!! (hugs)

Things get better the further you get from surgery. Smells come back and tastes improve.
