Hello new to this group

I had my sleeve surgery on Tuesday, and came home on Wednesday. Since then I have had a bad stomach ache, I'm thinking it is gas in my stomach, did anyone else have this problem?

Yup. Gas and nausea. Walk as much as you can. Get a good antacid. Sip as much as you can. The first week is a bit tough but it gets a little easier each day. Hang in there.

Hi there and welcome! I too got sleeved this week (Monday) and yes I too am having gas crampimg .. it's our bodies getting rid of all the air and drugs they pumped into us during surgery. Tomorrow you get puréed foods right? Take it slow

My doc said cheesy scrambled eggs were ok and don't need to go in the blender! Just don't overlook and chew chew chew. Also cottage cheese. And tonight I put some chicken broth and chicken thigh meat into the blender and it actually tasted great!

Tommy's Secret Recipe:

1/2 fat free refried beans
1/2 chicken broth
fat free sour cream
onion
hot sauce

Blend, heat, pour into a cup, sip and enjoy and thank me later!

Welcome Star and congrats on your surgery!! You will find a wealth of info here. I search different topics and have found so many wonderful suggestions and inspiring stories. The before/after pics blow my mind. I can't wait to have my surgery in July!!!!

Gas was the worst for about 3 days and then calm down by the 5th. Remember to walk it out - literally. I also used GasX strips and they were a great help. I hope your recovery goes well. All the best!

I really appreciate everyone's help. Thank you!! Today I'm trying to get my water intake down, but the "old" brain is thinking about greesy pizza or hamburgers I'm craving so bad. I will not mess this up though, so I'll just crave it and make a protein shake and keep my eye on the prize.

I have NOT had my surgery, but I have been on You Tube ALOT and ALOT of people have recommended the GAS-XX strips and said they work wonders!! Hope this helps!
