Surgery went great! Pain is manageable. Gas pain is still real though and nausea is getting better everyday. I was supposed to drink 40oz today but so far can only get 20 oz down. I spent the night in the hospital and came home on Tuesday. I weighed and was up 4 lbs but figured so because of the amount of fluids they pumped into me. I walked every 2 hours while in the hospital and trying to continue at home. Walking does help with the gas pain. So glad I'm on the flip side of the surgery and look forward to the days ahead. Oh and fudgsicles are awesome. lol

Congratulations! Im impressed with your water intake. I had surgery 2 months ago and am lucky to get in 38-40 oz a day, once or twice a week. Generally I manage 24 oz a day.

Today I woke up in no pain. I just laid there for a few minutes thinking...wow, I really feel nothing. That was awesome! I felt really good this morning and even went out and checked on our chickens and the garden. This afternoon, I did have to take a half a dose of pain med and probably will take a full dose this evening before bed time. Today was much better and I'm at 28oz of fluids today. Nausea is gone too. yay! Was also down 4 lbs today!

Yeah !!! I too was sleeved on Monday and only need Tylenol in the afternoons and nausea meds. Wow you have chickens which means fresh eggs for a protein! My doc allows cheesy scrambled eggs on the puréed diet so hopefully you can have that soon!
I think day 2 was the worst... woke up in the hospital and even the nurse said I looked awful (I was their star patient on surgery day walking every hour like clockwork!). The worst thing about this surgery isn't the surgery itself.. it's the anesthesia and all the meds that get pumped in.
Post op day 3 feeling closer to normal��J.
