I check almost daily if you have any questions you'd like to ask me. Some of my stats below:

I was sleeved 1/11/17 in Mx with Dr. Almanza. I am almost 42 years old, 5'3" tall. Prior to pre-op diet I was 297. Surgery day was 280. Now I'm 18 weeks out (if I'm counting correctly) and am 220 lbs.
HW: 297+lbs ( stopped weighing myself, it was probably 318 ish)
    Pre-op: 280 lbs (-17 lbs)

CW: 142 lbs -Down 178 lbs from my highest actual weight!

    Week 1: 270
    M1: 257
    Week 6: 255
    M2: 252
    Week 10: 241
    M3: 237
    Week 14: 234

    GW: 145 lbs

Hi Lisa! My surgery is tomorrow! As Gigi stated about the great info I agree 100%!!! Just wonderful little nuggets of info and shared stories. I'm 41 female 5 foot nothing. Hw in october when i started this journey of 260. Cw is about 212. Gw is around 130.
I've had friends and family come up to me just yesterday and tell me not to have the surgery because i have lost so much on my own. I know they mean well but it still hurts. Welcome, I had Dr Almanza 1-24-17. He was Outstanding along with the other medical team both at the hospital and Hotel. Couldn't ask for better care. My HW was 288, Pre-op wt. 265 CW 197. I lost a large amount of wt first two months. Look on signature for exact amount. I'm still loosing nice steady increments each week. This has been an amazing ride so far. I'm achieving things I only dreamed of. Example just completed my first cycling ride, 44.5 miles‼️ Joined Hiking groups and a cycling group. Climbed top of Neahkahnie Mountain, it was amazing. At the top you could see the Oregon Coast completely unobstructive. Please feel free to ask any questions!!! Good luck to you. Also very safe to walk all around the area. Drivers even took us shopping on day too after surgery.

Hi ! Good luck with your surgery tomorrow. I think that you should do what you want to do as it pertains to surgery. Having the surgery is a life changing experience and I know for me I need it. The older I get the harder it is to keep the weight off. I have been struggling for years up and down and I am tired of that. I know I will be leaning all over again how to do things the correct way. Stick with your journey and what id the best thing for you ! Keep us posted on how things are going

You very welcome. Yes I no the struggles all to well!!! I was sidelined at age 26. I was 110lbs and played soccer, down hill skied, rode my bike miles. Then I was hit very suddenly with MS. Struggled for years with mobility and depression. I also developed CHF amongst other things. Nearly died twice. Spent more time in hospitals than home for a period of time. Then new meds came out and the doctors got my diseases stable. With hard work and therapy I overcome depression and paralysis. Didn't take long during those dark times to put the weight on.
Anyone can change dramatically with this surgery as long has your willing to work hard and you address reasons you became overweight.

    Welcome!

Take a look at the signature block below my post if you wish to see my monthly losses during my weight loss phase. Some lose their weight faster or slower than average. I was a slower loser; it took me 18 months to drop 100 pounds.

BTW, you're near Santa Barbara? I was born and raised down the 101 freeway in Ventura County. It's a small world.

Welcome Lisa. Read as much as you can now so you have an idea of possible things to expect. (Everyone is different so we all react differently but odds are someone on here has been through it.) I also loved ----> http://www.obesitycoverage.com/gastr...erence-manual/ for good information regarding the sleeve. The sleeve is an amazing tool as long as you make good choices you will be successful! Reach out if you have any questions or need any support.
