I had my sleeve surgery Thurs 5/18/17. I stayed 2 days in the hospital. I have not had too much pain with the 5 incisions. However since leaving the hospital yesterday. I have only managed to drink about 8oz of water. I continue to be nauseated. I will just have to pray that this will pass. That soon I will feel better.

Hello yes it will get better each day I'm 1 week post ops I'm feeling a lot better
Just struggling a lil bit in fluids ... but I'm praying it will be better hope you feel better !!

Thank you so much. I appreciate knowing you feel better. Definitely gives me hope. I just can't even think about eating food.. water is all I can stomach..

If you become dehydrated, you will be more nauseated. Try to hydrate the best you can.

Thank you. I am trying. I keep the water bottle so I can keep taking small sips. The chewable vitamins all stayed down. So that is a plus.

i read where this gal was given a alcohol pad and she would smell it ,she said it helped alot

Thanks. I got my nausea meds and they are working. Was even able to eat some cream soup about 2oz.

I had an easier time with warm liquids in the beginning like broth, tea, creamed soups etc. Maybe that will help you get more fluids in.

I will definitely work on the warm liquids. I am just terrified to eat. I don't know how I am to get the protien in. There is no way I can drink 2 eight oz shakes.

Sorry to that, aren't you very weak if you can not even drink shakes? Hope it gets better.

Someone posted about a flavorless protein powder. If you can handle warm tea or broth then maybe you could add this in to increase your protein? (Hugs)

I don't feel great. I tried resting on a pillow to lay on my side. Was not a great idea. I stopped my pain meds when I left the hospital. Bc I don't like the thought of not using the bathroom. As they block it...sorry to. I have been taking all my chewable vitamins. I just can't make myself eat. Thank you both for your words of advice.

I did get the unflavored unjury. I just am terrified of eating. Bc I don't want to hurt my stomach.

Well I have had about 25 grams of protein today. But only about 32 oz of fluids. I have the foamies...which is driving me nuts. Any suggestions? Thanks
