I still go to the ice cream shop. I order the children's size cone and find it more than enough for me. I eat everything although in tiny portions. And if I go out to eat and don't finish my meals which always happens, I bag it and take it home for another meal. If I don't eat my leftovers someone else in the house usually does. I stay away from the buffet all you can eat places. My doctor told me to. You can't possible eat that much anymore or you vomit, plus you can't bring home your leftovers.

Hate real s'mores?! WHAT?
The Quest s'more bars basically taste the same as their chocolate chip cookie dough bars with a bit of cinnamon added. Warming them over the fire actually made them taste better. But then again that may have just been psychological.
Quest oatmeal chocolate chip and white chocolate raspberry are my favs.
I never stopped going to social events - in Arizona in my group of friends there are bike nites and biker events 7 days a week 24/7 damn near. Never had a problem being around others stuffing their face while I sat and drank water or ate a few bites vs their full plate. Plus I was always too busy visiting with people to eat. If I wanted ice cream I got it - few bites then done. There's a Wendy's on my way home from a good friends house that I am at quite often so I would sometimes stop and grab a small frosty eat a few bites then pull over at a gas station and toss the rest in the trash can.
I think I'll miss alcohol the most during the first year but once I start losing I'm hoping that I won't even care. We have Rita's water ice where I'm from and if the family gets it, I go for the sugar free flavor. I'm only a few weeks into my process so no surg date on the horizon yet, but I'm trying to make changes now anyway.
