I'm sorry I'm not in your area... I'm in Alabama. My daughter and I are scheduled to have the sleeve done by Dr. Almanza in Tijuana just a few days after you... on the 23rd. I just wanted to say hello and send Best Wishes. I will be watching for any updates. My cousin had this surgery done there a couple years ago... I wish I had done it when she did. But Good luck!!! Hope to hear lots of good things soon!

Good morning everybody, I just wanted to say thank you for all the encouragement. I am standing here in my hotel room getting ready for my surgery in 2 hours. Yesterday when we were picked up at the airport other and I met 4 ladies that are having the surgery with me, including one lady that already have the surgery here and she looks amazing. She lost a hundred and ten pounds already and her surgery was in September. There were also ladies at the pool that were post-op and they were laughing and talking and having a good time. I just wanted to take the time to encourage you guys that are having your surgeries coming up soon to let you know that so far so good. I'll do another post after my surgery thanks

Hi folks, update. I got out of surgery about 3 hrs ago. My surgery was quick, maybe 35 minutes tops. The pain and nausea was bad for 45 minutes then the iv drip and my gasx strips really helped. Pain went from 10 to 4. I walked after an hour in bed for 10 minutes first time and 30 minutes after a 2 hr rest. I've been to the bathroom by myself with a minor struggle. My biggest complaint is I am thirsty.

The staff at the hotel, the nurses at the hotel, the nurses at the hospital, doctors and surgeon are phenomenal. These guys know what they're doing and are on top of their game. My expectations are beyond met. I am so happy I did this here and now. No one asked me to say all this and I am not drugged either lol.

THANK YOU!!! Thank you so much for your messages and updates! My daughter and I just got in to San Diego and we are at a hotel for the night before meeting the shuttle at the airport tomorrow. I have been so anxious... and I have been thinking of you every day as we have traveled across the country for this! I am so very happy for you and that things have gone so well! And thank you so much for your description of everything! That really helped. Our surgery is on Tuesday and we are both even more excited after reading your updates! I hope and pray all continues to go well for you! I will continue to watch for your updates. Congratulations! You did it!
