Question Question for anyone with PCOS

Hi everyone, this question is for anyone or if you know anyone with PCOS that has had the sleeve. How have you done weight loss wise with the sleeve? Have you noticed it seems harder for you then other people? Have you been able to keep the weight off? Also how are your PCOS symptoms now that you've lost the weight? Im scared to have the sleeve and my PCOS keep me from weight loss or my symptoms not going away, and still be stuck on all this medication for it. Thanks in advance for your help!!

I have PCOS but I haven't had the sleeve yet. (monday)

Don't be scared of the sleeve because of your PCOS. PCOS will never go away, but the symptoms should ease.

I started using this shampoo called Fight Fallout by OGX and it has definitely helped my losing hair.
I still have to wax my chin every week.
all my weight is definitely still gained in my tummy, but thats going away little by little with the diet and as soon as the sleeve comes, it'll be off more.
as for the infertility, well, whatever, you know? I'm 38 and I probably don't want kids anyway.

but to have your PCOS be something to prevent you from getting the sleeve, I say it's inconsequential. Look at the rest of your life. Are you ready to commit to being healthier? IF so, and you have read about all the other things that go along with being sleeved, and you're in, then do it!

I have PCOS and I've lost almost half my body weight over the last 15 months. I have completely regular periods now, every 29 days and it lasts 4 days. The overall physical PMS symptoms and cramping are a lot more manageable, but I do get a bit more emotional than before. They aren't super heavy periods anymore which is a relief. My skin is a lot clearer too, and my insulin levels are much better. I no longer have fertility issues, so I have to be much more careful to avoid pregnancy (my bariatric coordinator suggested waiting two years before getting pregnant). I do still have some facial hair issues, but I think taking biotin is making the problem worse actually. I'm thinking I might do laser hair removal.

Oh, and I'm no longer on metformin or any other PCOS meds. I haven't needed any PCOS meds in almost a year.

Thanks for your input. My PCOS went away with a complete hysterectomy
At 31. What damage it causes can't be helped other than
Some good advice. Take calcium and vitamins I can not express
That enough. I have osteoarthritis and osteoporosis
I'm in pain everyday I can not do normal things any longer.

I just need to make an appointment and see what we can do
I am thankful for your advice as well
