    Default Two year anniversary

Howdy everyone! Today is my 2 year anniversary and still enjoying my new way of life. The past six months have been crazy, as some of you know, in November I had a tummy tuck and thigh lift and then just last week I had my arm lift. I freaking LOVE my arms now! No bat wings for me. They are so small. I just wanted everyone to know that this is the best decision I could have made and if anyone is on the fence about sleeve surgery, DO IT! I have no regrets and I enjoy my life so much more. Thank you to everyone who has provided support to me during the early days when I had no idea what the hell I was doing. I'm kind of on auto pilot now. I weigh myself everyday to make sure I stay within the same 2-3 pounds and that is what works for me. Love you guys!

Honestly, its the little things in life that amaze me. Two of my favorite changes, how a can clasp my hands together with no effort and feeling my collarbones. Neither makes a big difference in the grand scheme of things but they are little things that 8 months ago I had no clue I was missing. I used to get angry at guys who could cross their legs, now I seem to do it everyday.

PS-your hands have strong confident profile. your SO is a lucky person to have this person around. Keep being you.

Congratulations, you look fantastic! Your testimony to plastic surgery is wonderful to read. I've been twirling it around in my mind when the time comes.

I have to ask you, how was the recovery pain after having the tummy tuck and thigh lift done at the same time? How long was your recovery time?

    Thanks and all the best!

The tummy tuck was a BREEZE! I had an extended thigh lift, I can't remember what they call the one on the inside of your leg, but that's the one I had. I did have some wound closure issues, where the incision met my groin area. No where near the horror stories I have seen detailed on the internet. However, I knew this was a possible issue going into the procedure, so I wasn't freaked out when I saw the wound opening. I wish my surgeon would have gotten my thighs as tight as my arms My legs had cellulite before the procedure and I still have that. I wasn't expecting perfection, but it's not what I wanted my end result to look like. People say my legs look smaller than before, but I guess I am just too critical and don't see it.

I had both procedures done the week before Thanksgiving and was back at work the Monday after. I should have taken more time off, but it was doable. I do have a desk job, so nothing strenuous. I say go for it! I had left over pain medication from the procedures and honestly, it wasn't that bad. You will of course need help getting around. And I can't stress enough to get the Lady Pee Pee thing, so you can pee standing up. That was a life saver to not have to sit to pee. Oh, and make sure you take a stool softener when you take pain meds. I got extremely constipated and thought I was giving birth when I was finally able to go after 90 minutes straining on the toilet. NOT fun! (TMI, sorry) But you should know what to expect right?

Thanks for being so open and honest about your experience. I have to admit that I got the willies when reading about the wound splitting open... just got them again when I typed that. I have a ways to go before the time comes when I will seriously seek doctors, I'm doing a lot of research and pondering right now.

Regarding your bowel movement issue, I have one word for you - enema! I was so compacted this week that I almost did some damage while straining. It took 3 different kinds of enemas to get things moving. It was a horrible experience. I'm now well stocked with 3 kinds of enemas, just in case. Okay, now I'm giving others the willies by oversharing.

Again, thanks for insight, I really appreciate it!

Congratulations on your sleeve surgery results! That is inspiring for me, as I'm just 8 days out of surgery and my weight loss journey has just begun. I love reading about successful sleevers and how they maintain their losses. Which plastic surgery was the most painful? I'm anticipating needing some and was just wondering.

Thanks for sharing your successes with us, and stay in touch!

The thigh lift was definitely the most painful and this was only because part of my incision started to open (which can happen often). Would I do it all again? Of course! Plastic surgery isn't for everyone. Some people can deal with the extra skin. I knew even before I lost all the weight that this was something I was going to want. I researched the hell out of the different procedures for skin removal and read other people's experiences so that I had a pretty good idea of what I could expect. My hubs says no more surgeries - we'll see. Not that my boobs are awful, but I wouldn't mind a breast lift now. And if I had endless amounts of cash, I would do something for the back fat and raise the butt, but that will probably never happen unless I come into a cash windfall.

Happy anniversary!! Also, how do you like your thigh lift now? I know initially you were not so pleased with the results due to the extensive swelling. I am thinking that is going to be the one surgery I need.
