Default 5 years out..the honeymoon well not quite over lol

Yes today makes 5 years...lowest weight loss was 124 3 years ago...today I am 148....lost my dad to cancer almost 2 years ago...my husband was out of work for a while etc...just I knew when I had the surgery it is a tool..i fall and go back and fall again ....what I wanted to avoid from the get go...is the yo yo dieting...why food has to be my medication, and the sad thing is that I know its not the cure for loneliness , depression and boredom...I am still proud how far I have come...7 years ago I was 300 lbs...the fear is I am going to be that person again....I know what I got to do...I got to stay on track.... I know I can...just got to believe ...

You do believe.. and you should. You've done well despite adversity. I'm sorry for your loss. Keep on going forward. As I often remind myself, "what other choice do I have?"

Sorry about your loss and other family problems. To come out the other side of that is testament to how strong you truly are. Stay at it and you will accomplish anything you choose.

Sorry about the losses and set backs. They are difficult to deal with. I think most of us medicate with food. Sadness, loneliness, loss, boredom....it is how we got here. I can only suggest that you weigh daily. Once you get back to your goal, put yourself back into gear when you have gained 3-5 lbs. Don't wait until it is a 24 lb gain. Just my 2 cents. I know I am newer than you but I have watched my sister who was 5 years post op back in November. She does this and has made her maintenance much easier.
