Two surgeries needed

I have been approved and have my appointment made for my sleeve surgery. I found out yesterday that I have to have a hysterectomy. I asked my doctor if they could combine both surgeries and he thought they most definitely could and it would be better on my body to only go through major surgery one time this summer. My question is: Has anyone else on this site had the sleeve and another surgery at the same time?

Hernia with my sleeve. I've had a hysterectomy. That was my hardest. I don't know if I would do both together. The sleeve is a little bit for about a week. But you have to get used to eating differently. The Hysterectomy was a lot tougher and I was out for that one for about 5 weeks,

Being a man I am clueless about what I am going to ask. What type of medications will you need to take post op for the hysterectomy I am asking because swallowing pills of any large size is difficult at first with having a sleeve. That may cause you even more problems then the surgeries themselves. I wish you the best of luck on which ever route you end up taking.

Sleeve surgery with hiatal hernia repair and liver biopsy.

Hysterectomies are very different in terms of recovery from hernia repairs and biopsies though, so take my experience with a bucket of salt. I'd definitely research into what goes into that surgery, including hospital stay time, recovery time, common side effects, and complications. You're going to have to watch for complications from two different surgeries.

Hernia and sleeve. I think that if your surgeon thinks it will be ok, then it most probably will be fine. And I agree that one time under anesthesia and one recovery time will be better! Just my thought process.
