OK, so my hair has started growing back. I noticed it a month or two ago.
So, anyone that is worried about their poor, thinning hair, take heart.

My hair was just fine, until recently. I am pretty much bald in the top and I am so upset over it.
I have an appointment with my Dr's next week. I thought I made it without losing hair but the loss is tremendous. I am taking biotin and using various oils on my scalp. I have an appt in June with a dermatologist. Until it grows back, I will have to use creative hair styles to cover the loss. Did you do anything to treat your scalp?
My suggestion is buy a wig. They are more comfortable than you might think. Due to a genetic condition, I have been wearing wigs for the last couple of years. I like being able to completely change my hairstyle whenever I feel like it. Don't go cheap, though, you'll be sorry if you do.
Pam, you are looking absolutely skinny!![]()

My surgery is in 8 days. I had the lap band 7 years ago. I am having a revision with the sleeve. Honestly, hair loss is one of my biggest fears. I lost a lot with the lap band and it mostly grew back but it is very thin on top. I don't know if I will recover on top if I loose a lot more hair. Sounds very vain I am sure, but the fear is real.
I went through the hair loss. I started taking 10,000 of biotin within a few weeks of having surgery. My hair had gotten a lot thicker and looked amazing from the supplement. I finally started to lose hair around 3 1/2 months. When I started losing hair I began taking the biotin 2X a day. I lost gobs of it for a while. I still lose some but not nearly as much. And I already see it growing back in. I had areas that looked thinner but no bald spots. I also use a biotin shampoo and do scalp massage.
Side note: Since taking the biotin I have to shave my legs more frequently. LOL.![]()
So there is hope for me yet?

LOL
I lost hair in prior operations. I had 2 operations in a 6 month period and my hair got really thin in the front. I'm taking Biotin now and hopefully it will help down the road. But, if I shed then I'll do a Trump and start growing it long in the backside and comb it up, over, under, and use lots of Hair Net. LOL!
Good luck to you!
Hair often gets worse when a person exhausts himself with severe diets, in which a person eats less than 500 calories a day.
