I'm in luck on the Ensure plus. I've got boatloads of it on hand. When my daughter was underweight (yay! She's finally safely in a healthy weight range!) we had her downing that stuff three times a day. I have several cases of it left. Now if I can just force myself to drink it. Yuck! I still drink my protein shakes daily. I'm addicted to them. The muscle monster energy protein ones are the only ones I ever found that I like, and I LOVE them.
I know my terrible habit of lying on the couch is awful for me, but any other position is so painful. I've always said that I feel like my head is too heavy for my neck to hold up. Now my doctor understands why I feel this way. However, when I sit up with my shoulders back in the proper position, they feel much better, but my neck hurts worse.
I'm in worse shape than usual this week in particular because I made the trip to Memphis to watch my Tar Heels whip Kentucky in the Elite 8. I knew this would happen, but WORTH IT! Being in the car is always the worst.
I'm sucking it up today. I actually got up and bathed, sort of put on clothes (does a nightgown that I'm pretending is a dress count?), and I'm planning to go to my PT office to get traction set up. Luckily, it's only diagonally across the street. I can do this!
