I walked over a mile today...

It is a beautiful day outside today, and high winds are due later in the afternoon (65 mph) and there is NO way I am getting caught in that, so I got up early and walked over a half a mile next door to our house (a small park with a walking trail) and I just went out there again and did another half a mile, so... a little over a mile total so far today. I know it's NO WHERE near 10,000 steps but it's 2556 more than I have done lately. I still am feeling that sluggish, tired, sleepy haze like I had yesterday.

My bike shorts are hanging off me and I look like I am wearing a black parachute instead of shorts. Good feeling, and I will have to pick up some inexpensive clothes soon to hold me over until the weight starts rolling off. (I'm not anticipating much, am I, LOL?)OurParkPathcrop.jpg

I just got home from Las Vegas after visiting a friend who lives there over the weekend. The weather was beautiful and I walked more than I should have. Can't wait to finally set a surgery date and get on with things so next time I visit my friend in Las Vegas we can take a really long walk.

Congratulations on your walk--it must feel great to be mobile again after your surgery!

Our summers are brutally HOT, but rest of the year is pretty great. I'm walking now as much as I can cause once June hits... walking outdoors is OUT!
