My mother was a diabetic (she passed in 2015), as are both of her brothers. My uncle has so many issues with his diabetes that he is partially blind from it. I was not diabetic (or even pre diabetic yet) but am sure that is where my life was heading. I am so thankful for this surgery and knowing that I will not have to deal with diabetes. Thanks for sharing Shirl!
