Hiatal Hernia - Questions To Those That Had Their Hernia Repaired

I had my hernia repaired last week along with my sleeve. Tonight, I feel like I have a lump in the same location of where it was repaired. Dummy me never asked my doctor about it and now I'm wondering if it is healing correctly. Drinking fluids has been difficult with both the hernia and stomach healing.

Has anyone experienced this lump sensation after having their hernia fixed? Were you told anything by your doctor of what to expect or what to do while it heals.

Laura, I don't feel a lump or anything. If it weren't for the bandage, and the Dr telling me it was repaired, I wouldn't know it was fixed.
Drinking is no picnic with just the new sleeve... I completely forgot about the hernia!!!!

I had a hernia repair and I felt that difficulty drinking but I think it had more to do with the sleeve. I never noticed a lump and now I am so far out I wouldn't. But I agree with Greg that you should call the doctors office if you have concerns.

I saw my surgeon today and he put my mind at ease. He said it was swelling and it will come and go. That's a relief but I just wished it took away the pain and discomfort!!!
