Default I love that I don't crave food anymore

I don't crave food anymore! I eat of course but I love that I no longer can talk myself into getting Chinese, Mexican, Taco Bell I used to wake up focused on what I was going to grab for lunch and dinner for my work shift and I would spend almost 25.00 a day on doing that and even if I had brought something to work and someone suggested something different I'd join right in Thankful that I no longer do that and hope it continues!

    HW - 251
    Pre op diet - 242
    day of surgery -231
    One month - 212. -39 lbs
    Two months - 202. - 10 lbs. to date total 49

Eight months. 180 Total lost to date. 71 pounds

Jinkies, yeah,... I could have written those words as well!

I also love that when I eat more than a small sustainable amount of food my body rebels!

Sorry to say, you'll probably get your cravings back. But by then you will be so happy with how you look and feel, you won't give in to them. Or you'll have a little of something and be totally satisfied.

Personally, my appetite and cravings returned between the 8th and 9th month after the procedure.

Since I am not on a diet, I satisfy my cravings because deprivation backfires more than a small indulgence. However, I eat one cheeseburger or pizza slice these days rather than the five slices of pizza or four burgers I ate prior to bariatric surgery.

Count your blessings! And stay the path.

Cravings and all sort of food related dysfunction started early on for me. I'm glad it did because I was vigilant about not doing anything to cause irreversible damage to my sleeve so I had to deal with that ugly demon head on!

I'm not perfect. Most days I am better than others, and if I cave it's nothing like it used to be for the same fears of i jury. My tool still works if I eat anything beyond a cup. After protein even rice and noodles and bread have their limits in my sleeve thank the Lord Mighty God(dess) for that gift still!

I seriously don't remember, sorry! I had surgery over 3 years ago. My secret to avoid junk is I just don't have it in the house. I keep healthy snacks on hand, and bring stuff to school for when the cravings hit. But I definitely get hungry like a regular person now. And if I crave something crazy, like a Cadbury Egg, I will buy one and savor it. (Back in the day I would buy the 5 pack, and often!)

My actual, real physical hunger came back around 10 months. The cravings, "head hunger" and urges to slide back into poor eating habits kicked in pretty hard between 2-3 years. I'm 3 1/2 years out now and the struggle is almost daily. Really wish I could go back to those first 10 months when it was all so EASY. But like it was mentioned, now that I've had a taste of the good life (pun intended) it is a little easier to stick on plan than it was to stick with any diet prior to VSG. For me at least, sheer willpower and conscious effort plays more of a role with maintaining than my sleeve. I could easily eat around my sleeve.

At 2 moths out I'm not craving a specific food but I do get cravings for a specific food group and that is carbs. I've found since I incorporated weight training into my exercise routine that I am craving them more then before. I have a call into my nutrionist to find out if it's normal to crave them because of my exercise routine or just normal.

    Starting weight 328
    pre-op weight- 298
    1 month out- 262
    2 month out- 244
    3 month out- 227
    4 month out- 215
    5 month out- 203
    6 month out- 195
7 month out- 194 in 1 month stall
    8 month out- 192
    9 month out-190
    10 month out-
    11 month out-
    12 month out-
