Jake, buddy, we're changing the by-laws and now you'll get a blender! You'll be one of the first ones to get it! You're supposed to pick it up on the way out of the ER. It says it in the fine print. I didn't read that dang fine print and that's why I didn't get my toaster; plus, I was too distracted by the bright lights and shiny metal stuff everywhere.

It worked well but there is a bigger story. I ruptured a disk in my back at work. I could not sit without pain for more than 2 minutes, walk for more than 15 seconds, etc. I literally could get out of bed and walk to the bathroom then had to lay down in the bathroom to recover before relieving myself or go to the kitchen to make a PB&J was a twenty minute mission. So, I could not get out of the house to go to the store to get cigarettes and nobody would get them for me. The painkillers cut the edge enough that I did not bite anyone's head completely off.

When the doctor blamed my back injury on smoking I never went back because he asked if I liked the pain I had been having because the pain would continue if I continued smoking. My degenerative disk disease was caused by the moisture in my disks being sapped from smoking and would only continue up my spine progressively. I haven't smoked since but I truly think the painkillers got me through the rough spots of withdrawal.

Damn Greg, you've had it rough, my friend. Good thing you had those pain killers! I have degenerative bone disease too, but I blame it on bad genes and it will remain that way. LOL. How is your back now? Has weight loss caused any changes: additional pain, or improvement or no change at all?

PamG - we love our air fryer! It is a miracle machine! Hey, here's another miracle machine - Yonanas Frozen Healthy Dessert Maker. It turns frozen fruit into sorbet, ices, and ice cream with only using fruit. The spouse just played this with it this last weekend and added a couple of daps of yogurt into the fruit. Here's the link below to a model on Amazon.

I have lived a long full life so these bumps and bruises are expected. Having competed in athletics, you learn the difference between pain and injury. Now, I am good to go. The weight loss has improved everything. Pain is gone, sleeping better, even waking up in the middle of the night to pee less often. I have horrible genes as well but I also had bad role modeling in some things and great role modeling in others. Both my parents died from lung cancer in their 50's and still kept smoking until my back injury. My mom was an organic vegetarian but had cholesterol of 250 and my dad had his first heart attack at age 41. So me getting ahold of myself now was a necessity.
