I just had my sleeve done on Tuesday. I am wondering if anyone experience a sharp pain in their middle back of the left side. I haven't been able to sleep.

Take your temperature daily while you are healing. My suggestion is if it increases to contact your doctor. Keep a log of this, fluid intake, medications, etc.. good luck!! GasX strips helped me too!

The gas pains are from the inert gas that they use to inflate your abdomen. Gas X strips or otherwise will do nothing for this. WALK WALK WALK!!!! Walking is the only real way to get that gas to dissipate and go away. Walk, and then walk some more. The gas pains are terribly painful, but they are not in your stomach! Walk!

It gets a little better every day. I also used a heating pad for my back as I did have back pains.

Hi Kristen, Gas pains can be very painful.Walking is extremely important. I would rest than walk, repeat. I just kept moving, Made a huge difference. I also found the heating pad helpful, at the beginning I used gas x. The second week was a lot better, hang in there.

They are dissolvable strips that you put on your tongue to help get rid of gas

Hi Jake, Gas X is very common and found at any store were they sell stomach meds. Comes in dissolvable strips you put on your tongue or chewable tablets. The dissolvable ones are a little harder to find but are the ones you want to bring with you to your surgery.
