Default Week 3 - glad to have some flavor options back

So I had my 2 week follow up, 23 lost since surgery, and I get to start the MultiVitamins and new foods. I just started the Week 3 diet, limited quantities of soft foods, and so happy to have some flavors back in diet. Was so tired of vanilla, chocolate, protein shakes and SF Pudding.

I am still adjusting to having more solid foods and the sensations I get when I ingest them. That full feeling isnt quite registering yet. I am sure that will come with time. Still need to have a protein shake a day hard to get enough when only eating few ounces or 1/4 of something.

My question is what spices, flavors did you add to your cottage cheese, eggs, ground chicken, etc. to make that little bit satisfying and enjoyable. I want to enjoy the flavors and not the quantity. Is there anything you suggest I avoid?

    Thanks Jim

I have not had any issues with anything I have eaten. Only if I eat too much or too quickly. But no foods gave me any problems. I have always cooked with spices. Garlic, lemon pepper, adobo, rosemary....you can add just about any spice you like to your foods. If I am in a hurry and I brown hamburger meat I like soy sauce on it. You can make your eggs into egg salad. On regular eggs I always added some cheese and veggies. (a very small amount of veggie) I do like to season meat with adobo, garlic powder, and onion powder and cook in olive oil. It is a good blend. Go light on the adobo though because it is salty if you put too much. Onion and garlic powder you can add as much as you want. I like fresh squeezed lemon on my foods and fresh parmesan cheese. You can also season your meat with broth or bouillon...just not too much because of the salt. Just try different flavors out.

On my ground turkey and chicken I go kind of spice crazy with them. Someday its a Italian spice combo other days it's adobo ect. I was constantly mixing it up. On my eggs well I like white pepper and salt nothing crazy there. As far as what I had to avoid it was Fish of any type bothered me in stage 3 and stage 4 I'm hoping it is not permanent as I do love fish.
