Default So much for that BBL

Guess I will never have a butt. Not willing to risk that at all. Who knew you were 20X more likely to die from a Brazilian Butt Lift than any other cosmetic procedure. Nope, I'm out.

I have seen amazing results doing weight lifting exercises. There was a young lady who was super thin from an eating disorder and one day she realized she felt awful and was having a lot of difficulty doing simple task. This wasn't working for her. She felt her answer was in the weight lifting community were more is better. She figured out how to go from no butt to having a muscular butt. People thought she had fillers or a butt lift, so the tv show The Doctors brought her on and ultrasound her bottom and found she did this naturally. She swears by weight lifting exercises. She looked great. Maybe look into doing this. Food for thought. I cant imagine having surgery or be injected with a foreign substance in my bottom.

I'd never do it either. My thighs are a bit hangy but I think I can live with it.

Dear, do you go on the blog real self? It's for ladies considering plastic surgery. As for 20 times dying this is the first I've heard. I do know they give you a lot of lipo to get fat out of your chunky areas to transfer to your butt. It's the lipo that hurts. And women frequently have to take pain killers, go for lymphatic massages and occasionally have blood transfusions after intense lipo. Afterwards you have to wear a tight faja or body garment for several weeks.
The woman that have had it look great but you have to weigh if you want to go through all that to look gorgeous. Some women say where there's no pain, there's no gain. But the choice is entirely up to you.

Yeah, I wasn't worried about pain from it. I hear the tummy tuck is the most painful procedure. There have been nine deaths recently (within the last year) in the US just from Brazilian Butt Lift. The news article I tried to link didn't link, but in it it says that you are 20x more likely to die from the BBL than any other cosmetic procedure. That's just too much of a risk, and not one I'm willing to take. Not to mention, when I sent my photos in, I found out I am too thin. I don't have any fat for them to lipo and place into my butt, so I'd have to gain at least 20 lbs to do it. Pfft! I already eat all day long and don't gain. It looks like it's just out of the question for me altogether. I'll have to come to terms with it.

My kid has been doing squats trying to gain some butt back. I can tell a little bit that it's working. I've never had any typed of butt (flat as a board) even when I was fat, but maybe I'll give those squats and lunges a shot.

I guess I'll just focus on getting my breasts done as these things have been a nightmare for me since I was a preteen. Fat, skinny, or in between, they suck!

I'm 60 and after 4 pregnancies I need the whole 9 yrds. Everything nipped and tucked. My butt is huge even when I'm skinny. Next year I'm going for WL revision surgery and then 2 yrs. later I'll plan my plastics. I plan on doing my body in 4 visits.
    1. Breast lift w/implants and tummy tuck.
    2. Butt lift and thigh lift. My butt is huge so I reckon it'll just need to be lifted and re-shaped. Any fat they need they can get from my thick thighs.
    3. Arm lift and back lipo.
    4. Face lift and neck lift.

I'm taking it slow because of my age. The doctor's now have pain cocktails they can give you for the first 3-4 days which I'm told is the worst. Also if you go for tummy tuck it's best to book with a recovery house that has hospital beds so you can sleep reclined. Some girls occasionally get seromas too and the doctor has to drain them but the women say they're not painful as long as you get them drained. There's always a small percentage of deaths from plastic surgery and they're mostly due to anesthesia. Secondly deep vein thrombosis but that can be controlled with blood thinners after surgery. I can say I've learned a lot about plastics since being on Real Self and anyone who's thinking seriously about plastics you'll learn a lot as well as how to prepare for surgery.
