Welcome Melanie! I would read people's experiences on here and also check out www.obesitycoverage.com for additional basics of the sleeve surgery. The more informed you are, the better. I have absolutely no regrets. Good luck!

Welcome! This is a great forum and there are newbies and seasoned, veteran sleevers here. If you decide to do the operation, it will be a good place to come for support. I'm having my surgery next week and I'm nervous, anxious, and still have my doubts. But, I'm 56, my health is deteriorating and I want to stop my body from self-destruction, turn things around, and become healthy. I've been thinking about doing this for 5 years and I already wish I had done it sooner - I'm saying that before it's even done.

Be brave, think about what you want and need, and remember that you aren't alone. Many in this forum have been in the same place that you and I are in. This is a nice forum, full of kindness and information. You'll make the right choice for yourself, whatever it may be. All the best.
